'Ekankika' i.e. solo (one-act) play is a form of Art which is being ignored many times. Through 'Prabodhan Goregaon' Shri. Subhash Desai, Shivsena Leader and MLA has always strived hard to give recognition to the artforms which are being ignored by society. From 1972 'Prabodhan Goregaon' has been providing an Arena to the Solo Act Artists.
Many artist with lot of potential but lack of recognition got an oppotunity to prove themselves, their art potential thru this venture of 'Ekankika Utsav'. It is perfectly termed as 'Utsav' i.e. 'Festival' because for a true artist an opportunity to prove his talent is neverthless than a Festival. As a step ahead in providing recognition to these artist also with an intention of providing them exposure to the guidelines and experiences in this field by dignitaries, a book which is a souvenir of this 'Ekankika Utsav' (Solo Act Festival) was published by Shri. Desai.
