Right from the formation Prabodhan Goregaon is involved into imparting Karate Training to the residents of Goregaon and Mumbai suburbs. Our aim has been to propagate Karate which is a sports form used for self defense and also it adds on to the activity level of student. We believe that in today’s world we should pay attention to not just academic development of our children but also special concern has to be given to the overall development of our valued kids who are going to form up future of India.
Prabodhan Goregaon is affiliated with 'Japan Karate Association'. Coach Mr. Sitaram Chavan (4th Degree Black Belt) is Technical Director of Japan Karate Academy. Under his able technical guidance and practical training many students have achieved heights of success in the field of Karate. Every year almost 50 students win the Inter State competition which is organised by Japan Karate Academy. Our students received valuable guidance from Mr. Norio Kawasaki in the National Karate Camp organised during 27th to 29th January'2008. In the International Competition arranged on this occasion our students received grand success. Our student Master Sahil Desai completed 50 medals in Karate last year. In the tenure of last 5 years he has been awarded 50 medals for his enormous success. In the 'Mahapaur Shield' 12 medals were grabbed by Prabodhan's students.
